It's officially the last day of 2011...and I'm bittersweet about it. For one, well, duh, the world is supposed to end in 2012. And time is flying by way too quick! Make it stop...or at least slow down a bit...Sucka, the pictures that I've posted above with Casey Anthony are fucking hilarious! And since Casey Anthony pretty much took all of the media attention for the whole year, it was fitting to have her pictures here. I found those wonderful pics on zombieseverywhere.org. It's a great site with a lot of fun and funny content. Definitely check it out!

I've decided I'm not going to make any resolutions this time around, hell, I never keep them anyways, so I'll reserve that energy and intent on something much more productive, like ghost hunting. And while I'm saving up to buy my much needed ghost hunting equipment it will give me more time to write entries on this here blog. Thrilled you are, I'm sure!!!

To any and all that actually are reading this...have a wonderful new year!!! And be careful, the police are stepping up their efforts to jail drunk drivers all around the country...please don't drink and drive (you're right...I was going to add 'cuz you might hit a bump and spill it!)! Talk about a headache in the morning...the courts will own your ass if you get a DUI...be smart, make a friend drive (let them get busted...just kidding!) or stop being a tightwad and splurge on a $25 cab ride home!

Caacba! Another year has come and gone and just as well...because the rolling stone gathers no moss!!! Don't know where that came from, but wrote a story bout it, wanna hear it, here it go...ha! I know you're familiar with that...

And because we are both major animal lovers, I found it perfect to end the year with some cute animal pics...the top pic has the photo credit right on it and the other two pics - the homeless dogs - were found at BUZZFEED. Never been to that site before but it seemed entertaining. Sucka, I found this website called boycottkim.com...it's a petition that some group came up with to boycott the Kardashians! You wouldn't believe all the major companies that sponsor this family. Wholly shit!! (HA!) No wonder they make bank. But at what cost, right? They will never have any privacy and when they do get their privacy, it won't matter because they've already put everything out on the clothesline to air in public...there is always a balancing factor in every situation. To be rich at what cost...sad.

Well, Sucka, 2011 is over and 2012 promises to be one hell of a great year!!!

Was reading that vetrescue blog and came across this missing dog from the huge tornado in JOPLIN MO...here's the info...

"The picture was taken at the location of 4224 E. 26th street in Duquesne, behind CFI/Conway trucking. The people who lives there had livestock. She was carried to the side of the house. When the sirens went off in Joplin the second night after the storm, the people left there house and she ran in some bushes. They called the humane society, when they got back she was gone. But she has NOT been seen at the shelter (if you go-LOOK FOR HER ALSO). The neighbors at a house 2 doors down and they said she was seen Saturday in the yard and yet again no one helped her!! There is a reward for her. Anybody with info can call Kari 417-529-8088 OR call Duquesne police as they are aware of the situation!!! PLEASE HELP BRING HANAH HOME!!!"

I would love it if I could help a family find their missing dog...I know how I would feel if mine were missing.

Found these adorable pictures on Veterinary Rescuer at vetrescue.blogspot.com. It's a great blog written by a wonderful veterinarian/animal rescuer. These pictures were in the article about someone letting about 1500 mink loose from a mink farm! Thinking they were doing something really humane and saving these mink, when in reality they probably caused a lot of harm and tragedy...sad. The caption (regarding fur coats) "Don't we look just as ridiculous wearing THEIRS?" Ha! Had to share with my Sucka! STILL loving you forever and ever and ever and ever.....

Found these pictures of the Hotel Missoni in Kuwait City...love that bathtub!! And that bedspread is amazing. Maybe someday I can see in person, but I'm OK if I don't...I would be kinda scared to venture to the Middle East for obvious reasons. Was watching a show on vacations gone bad and this guy rode his motorcycle through Columbia and decided to take a leisurely drive to Medellin (teehee-even I know you don't take a stroll through Medellin!!). Needless to say, he ran into some trouble there with the local rebel army. He was forced to march through the jungles and mountains for almost two months, if I remember correctly, not knowing what they would do to him. He faked a bout of cancer and was finally released to the Red Cross. Even after all that, he continued his trip through South America without returning to the US first. What a story.

Anyway, Sucka, I miss you...yesterday (11/11/11) was National Metal Day and I watched the new Behind the Music on MEGADETH!! I love Megadeth and I love Dave Mustaine, but I'd rather just listen to his music. Sucka, they are still talking about the feud between Dave Mustaine and Metallica...that shit happened, what, 25 years ago?! Ha! HAPPY NATIONAL METAL DAY, SUCKA!!! And keep rockin' on with your bad self...

I found these pictures on a website called Mochimochi Land...creative little crochet creatures and all kinds of other stuff...very neat. She had created a tiny gnome (also a tiny gnome in a hammock by the beach!) AND A TINY ZOMBIE!! HOW CUTE IS THAT?!! Hey Sucka! Was cruising the web and came across this restaurant/bar at doyoulovewhereyoulive.com and thought the decor was splendid...I even thought the urinals were great! Ha! Ha! Today is PFD Day! Woohoo! Everyone will be out spending money this weekend...bet the bars will be packed! Let's all go down to "Fatties"!!!!! Ha! Ah, the good times at ol' Fatties...
It's really sad that people just don't have any courtesy anymore...I almost got ran off the road on my way to work and then earlier today I went to the hospital to visit with Sharon and it was like a damn video game trying to find a parking space. The parking lot at Providence sucks, but it was packed and everyone was in combat mode...and then trying to walk up to the entrance, people are so busy on their phones AND trying to park that you're totally taking your life in your own hands...at least you're already at the hospital, though, in case you do get creamed by a one-ton truck trying to back in to a spot!

Gotta love that Mick Jagger cat...especially Mick in the 60's/70's...and Hitchcock! What would the world be without either? And just for kicks I put up the picture of the billboard for Hallmark...because it was so damn cute. Been working the midnight shifts this week and it so messes up my sleep and everything else...I'm usually a huge night-owl anyway, but even I don't usually stay up til eight in the morning...I know we used to have some kick ass crazy nights...crawling in the door at noon and we would even keep it going past that point...literally an all weekend party fo' yo' ass! I don't have anything real exciting to share at this moment, but I felt like sayin' somethin!!!

I talked to Billy in Minneapolis and he has moved from his former apartment to new digs that I have not seen yet...he is back in school for the fall semester and is doing great! I will have to call him soon and make sure everything is good...I have also had this nagging feeling that I really need to contact Freddie...I don't know why I feel that way, but I'm going to call him today when I get home...I always think of it when I can't get on the phone...

I decided to put some of my very own pictures up today...the top photo is the Oregon coast...up by Tillamook...beautiful, absolutely gorgeous there. That was the day that we went to see my sister and then decided to go check out the coast, but the day we were heading out there, there were tsunami warnings from some earthquake across the ocean...so, instead of going away from the ocean, we headed directly to it...probably not smart, but if that view is the last I ever have, then I'm OK with that (teehee - just kidding!)! And, of course, the bottom photo is that of the Space Needle in Seattle...I was trying to get all artsy with my photos that day...that's the best I could muster obviously, but it looks OK...you can tell it's Seattle anyway...

Well, Sucka...Charlie Sheen has a new show...it's based on Jack Nicholson's character in Anger Management...or so the news clips say. I know how much you loved keeping up on all the entertainment news...Sucka, there's been a lot going down lately! Ha! A flight attendant on Southwest Airlines made the singer of Green Day leave the plane he was on because his pants were too saggy...What?! I guess he put the word out immediately and Southwest kissed his ass over it...how fucking stupid. That doesn't even come close to some of the bullshit I've seen on flights! "It's just so ridiculous!!!"

And, to top off all of the crazy stuff I've read on the news just today...the Feds raided one of Gibson's guitar factories and made a big stink because Gibson was importing "sawn wood" from India. The whole bullshit incident is because the Feds say they are upholding an Indian law that only Indians can work on raw wood...the US can import veneers of wood, but not "sawn wood"! The Feds actually told Gibson's management that they wouldn't have this problem if they shipped the work overseas...what a bunch of bullshit. But that's our good 'ol US of A at work for ya! Can you imagine that happening back in the 70's or 80's? OMG....unthinkable. It's like they want their own people to be poor and homeless...

I'll step off my soap box for now....

On July 15 of this year, they commissioned a 26-foot Marilyn Monroe statue in Chicago and every picture that I saw in Int'l Business Times had someone looking up the skirt - even the women!!! That is fucking hilarious! And then some lovely little punkass tagged Marilyn and gave her an ugly tattoo...what a shame. The statue will be available for approximately one year. Sucka! I was reading a blog post from sprocketink.com "Five Examples Of Why Dogs Truly Are Man's Best Friends" and it was a great post! The pictures above were taken from that post. The top picture is Hawkeye, the beloved dog of Jon Tumilson, a Navy SEAL and one of the 22 men that were killed when their Chinook helicopter was taken down by Afghan insurgents. Jon's sister took the picture of Hawkeye laying beneath Jon's casket during the service...I need a tissue.

The bottom picture is of Yurt, the dog belonging to Kevin McClain, a terminal lung cancer patient that was in hospice care. Kevin's dying wish was to see his dog one last time...I'm so glad that he got his wish...and that when Kevin passed, Yurt went to a wonderful family that will give him a forever home.

It kills me to see animals mistreated. They give us so much and ask so little in return. How could someone abuse that? People that abuse animals or children are assfaces and do not deserve the love of a dog.

Sucka, I've really been Jonesin' to get another dog. After Dickie Doo left us, I just can't decide which way to go...I could give some wonderful pound puppy a forever home. I have to go to animal control on a day when I'm emotionally strong enough to walk in there and walk out with only ONE dog. I go in to those places and I cry, I get angry seeing all these animals left to fend for themselves (until they are picked up and taken to the pound) and I want to take them ALL home. But I know I can't do that because then you would see me on that show "Animal Hoarders", and I just couldn't do that to the animals! Ha!

Reid has to talk me down after we go in there...all of this because people are too stupid or self-absorbed to take care of their animals. Let them roam around and procreate time after time after time. OR those stupid f*cks that consider themselves "breeders" and are really just small-time puppy mills. OK, Sucka...you know where this is going and I will stop now, before I work myself up again...

Ha! Ha! I thought this was so cute! Gotta love that Postsecret...Sucka, this summer is almost over and I'm truly bummed out about it. It's been a good summer and all, but I'm dreading turning the heater back on at my house. I'm dreading having to plug my car in again. I'm dreading having to keep the doors and windows shut all the time. I'm dreading having to put on a regalia of winter-wear every time I step out of the house (even just to go check the mail!). I'm dreading the days below 20 degrees. I'm dreading...OK, enough of the dread. I've got to learn to love winter. I've lived in Alaska my whole life...you would think I'm over it by now.

Sucka, you sure made living here a whole lot better. Even when we hated it, we could laugh about it! We were so busy having a good time, we didn't notice the -10 degrees! Ha! Ha! I miss my "short bus" friends (you, GiniAnn, Sussan and Dickie Doo)!

So, last night we went walking and over on DeBarr Rd we seen a real nice bike laying in the middle of the sidewalk. Thinking that was rather odd, Reid stops me as we are nearing the scene and points over to a body laying there in the weeds. We walk over and sure enough, there's a man laying there and he's so drunk you can smell the alcohol from six feet away. We decide that there is nothing wrong, he's just so drunk he probably fell off his bike. Then it hit me. I told Reid we needed to make sure he's OK. I know he's OK, but I would feel horrific if it turns out to be some KID laying there and something horrible just happened to him (flashes of how homicidal I would be if someone let my daughter lay there in the weeds and not try to at least help her out). So, I walk over and yell "Are you drunk or do you need help?!" No response. Then Reid says, "Do you need us to call someone for you? Do you need an ambulance?!" The guy starts giggling and mumbling about something and we walk away with a clear conscience, knowing that he's a grown man and he's aware that his drunk ass is laying in the weeds, garbage and spent cigarette butts alongside the highway. I felt better about leaving him laying there at that point.

Sucka, you wouldn't believe how many people feel we need to take care of these homeless drunks in Anchorage! The way I feel about it...and this is from working directly with these people...they don't give a shit about their personal safety being out on the streets, so why should I? And if these "warm fuzzy" people want to help them so badly, they can offer up their own homes and see how that turns out. Ha! That would last about fifteen minutes! Remember how much bullshit went on at Homeward Bound? They have help available to them, but they don't want help...they want another drink. I'll stop here...

It's been a while since I've checked in with you, but it's been an OK summer...nothing too exciting going down, but it's been decent. I had a week off work and it rained every single day. I've really been missing our bike rides...haven't really even took my bike out since you've been gone. Haven't went skiing either. Can't go skiing without my Sucka.

By the way, Jani Lane of Warrant died a couple days ago in a hotel room in California. How tragic and he was only 47. From what I've read in the news, it sounds like he may have done himself in. There was a bottle of booze and some Rx in the hotel room. I don't have any idea what was happening in his life, but what could be so bad that you would kill yourself? I think that is something that every single person on this planet has thought about doing, at one point or another, but usually after a day or so passes you feel differently about stuff...but I'm no expert on the subject, so I'll keep my thoughts to myself on that...but why? And he has 4-5 kids that will have to live with his decision also...it's so sad all the way around.

But, his music will live on forever, and that's a good thing...

An abandoned disco ball...what a shame. Doesn't everyone know that disco balls represent something much bigger than ourselves? The disco movement meant so much to so many...hell, some of us wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the fun-filled free love of the sixties and the crazy, drug-fueled party-all-nights of the seventies...ha. Now it's just an icon of an era gone by.

I wonder what the icons of the current generations will be? Facebook, fake boobs and crazy body piercings? I'll have to think about that one...I wish you were here, Sucka...I know you would amuse me with something totally spot-on and freakin' hilarious!

Oh, how I miss you...there's this beautiful black cat with white paws that's been hanging out at my house. I usually leave the back door open when I'm home and she just comes and goes as she pleases...will even get up on the couch and sleep...like if I fall asleep on the couch, I'll wake up to her sleeping on me...I miss having a pet, although I might have one now.

Hey Sucka! It's a beautiful day and July 4th weekend...lots of cool stuff going on in town. I'm working today, well, all weekend actually, but that's OK. We're going camping next weekend and I bought myself the Grand Poobah of all camping chairs!! It's bigger than normal, has a built-in cooler that will fit about 3-4 beers (or whatever yer poison!), two adjustable umbrellas to shield my delicate self from sun or rain (ha!) and it's a cool red color. Can't wait to try it out.

The pictures are from Vogue. I love that candle holding floating shelf in the top pic. That's really cool. And the cave-like kitchen...looks very masculine to me. I want to build an underground house that's totally off the grid. I want solar power throughout, I want my own treated water system and a swimming pool outside. It would be nice to have the pool outside with the option to cover it if it's raining or whatever...gotta watch those lightening storms when you're in the pool! Remember that night at Gini's moms house and we were swimming at 3am and the pool cleaner grabbed my foot! Ha! Ha! What a great fucking trip that was! Sucka, if I would've known how things were going to play out, I would've insisted that we go on so many more trips and do stuff that we didn't do. I am really happy that I took that summer off to dink around. We did a lot of bike riding that summer and I'm glad we did. So many memories to think back on. Damn good times! Love you, Sucka...you just couldn't imagine how much.

Had to put these up...two whacky bars that we would've checked out for sure...the first is actually a coffee shop in Vienna (nice shot of the butthole end) and the other is an inflatable bar in Ireland - I'm pretty sure. Funny. Remember that time we were bored and went to check out the Birdhouse? Ha! That was damn funny...and we stapled our underwear to the ceiling, but not without signing our name on 'em! Our undies burned up real good, I'm sure...but the replica of the bar in Koots is real impressive, as far as details that made it what it was, before it tragically burned down. Summers in full swing now! It's a bit overcast today, but real nice...Anchorage is always the stuff in the summertime! I haven't been on my bike yet. Feel like a lump...haven't really done much as far as getting out. Me and Reid do a lot of walking...big walks, like 3-4 hours...instant gratification...I feel better right away.

My friend Katie had her baby May 27 and that baby is beautiful! New babies always seem so delicate to me...it's been a while since I've been around a newborn. It was neat to see tiny little fingers and toes! Precious.

Sucka, Happy Sunday! It's already into June and I haven't been camping yet...been hankerin' to go...

No wonder I can't get any seclusion...the label fell off. Ha. It's a great site to check out pictures of abandoned places. Hospitals, factories, hotels, you name it...some of these places look like the people left for the evening and never came back. Crazy. Some of the hotels still have the linens on the beds and the hospitals walk away and leave personnel and patient info laying around, X-Ray machines and dental equipment...one hospital even had a hyperbaric chamber. It looked fairly new. I know there are a few places of interest around here to check out...remember those old military bunkers we checked out? Creepy.

Sucka! Talked to Bill about a week ago and we text often...it's so nice to keep in touch with Bill. He is really fun, we laugh A LOT! He makes me think of you, too. I do miss you Caacba.

At work if you're not dealing with bullshit on the phone with customers, you're dealing with it from the people you work with. It just never ends and I need to be self employed! Had to post this picture...I love the message...how true it is!!! I'm not sure who picture credit goes to, but I found this pic at the Urban Explorers site for America (americanurbex.com). I love the idea of exploring old and abandoned locations. They had pictures from the Six Flags over New Orleans which was abandoned after Hurricane Katrina. Very sad, but I guess that was a bad place for an amusement park...underwater.
Well, Sucka, it's almost spring around here! It's beautiful and over 40 degrees today in the sunshine. Can't wait to get out there and hit the trails on my bike...that will be amazing. Oh, Sucka...the hills are alive with the sound of more snowy weather coming our way. We had quite the little snow storm last night. Not too bad, but it was rather wet and sticky, making for really icy roads. I know you really loved the snow! But I know you really did not like the blasted cold weather. I remember you used to curl up on your couch and sleep through the cold snaps...it seems like they would go on and on and on...right now it's about 30 degrees out. That's pretty good, although we are fastly approaching spring. And I'm lovin' it! Can't wait to see the green grass and the sprouts on the trees. Don't care too much for the bugs, but it's even nice to see them return for the season. The motorcycles are a good indicator, too. Will catch you up with all the gossip soon. Nothing too juicy. I could always create some good drama, too! Teehee. We'll see how it goes...

Well, Caacba, I just wanted to tell you I love you so much and miss you even more now than before. Hope Sussan and GiniAnn are doing well. The other day I was standing in my living room and the house was quiet. All of a sudden I could hear my guitar being plucked. Just one note, but it was plucked about six times. I was looking directly at my guitar when it happened and I didn't see shit! I was freaked out. And with my guitar, you know that when you play it, you get that slight buzz...there was no noise, just the note on the guitar, clear as day. I couldn't get over it and I didn't know what to do, so I just sat there...in awe. I'm hoping that it is one of you playing a little prank on me! I can hope, right?

These pictures are from my trip to Virginia to visit with my brother, sister and dad...it was a great time and I experienced my first Virginia snow storm. Wow! I know they don't get the snow that we do here in AK, but 7 or 8" of snow shuts that place down! Interstate 81 was going at about 25 mph and they canceled all kinds of flights out of DC. It was cool, though. Not like I had to work or anything. It was a great trip! That's my brother's dog, Lady, although my brother calls her 'Brown Dog' and it fits her, totally. She would come upstairs and make sure me and Savanna was awake by jumping up on the bed and stepping on our pillows (which means trampling on our faces and hair). Now that I'm up, I guess I'll go downstairs and let you outside, you poor, neglected dog...teehee.

Fabulous trip AND I got first class seats all the way home!

Well, Sucka, tomorrow is the first day of my vacation and we're going to Miami to hop aboard the Mirage of the Seas and cruise to Mexico...the really beautiful part of this trip is the cruise itself is called 70,000 TONS OF METAL!!!! 40 metal bands are getting together with about 3,000 hardcore metal fanatics on a cruise ship for 5 days of nothing but METAL and MAYHEM! Oh, Sucka...I so wish you could join us on this trip. Fuck this sucks that you're not here. We live for this stuff. I know you will be with me in spirit, but I sure do miss you.

AND, unfortunately my Dad is not doing that great, but I will be stopping in to see him on my way home from Florida...I hope that everything will be OK. Also, my sister will be at my Dad's house and this will be the first time ever that my brother, my sister, my Dad and myself will be all together in the same place. Promises to be a good time!!!

Flipping through channels the other day, I watched this amazing show on the Military Channel about the soldiers in Iraq that have befriended dogs and cats over there on their tours of duty and when it comes time to go back to the U.S. they couldn't possibly think of leaving their new best friend alone in the desert to fend for itself...so the SPCA got involved and created Baghdad Pups!

It's so very cool that these soldiers are able to bring their animals back to America! And it's a program solely supported by private donations. That is where I found the picture of the cat. You were such a cat person. I knew you would love it! And a great story...I cried (tears of joy) while I watched...it was so nice to know that this program exists and we're giving back to our peeps in uniform. A happy story for the humans and animals. I'm getting misty just thinking about it...Ha! Remember, "I just can't talk about that right now..." That tiny newborn moose calf in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in town. We were holding our breath waiting for him to be in the clear...lucky little guy.

There are things of yours that I will never, ever part with...the table, the pictures, the music...there is a whole lifetime of things that will always surround me and remind me of you. I'm going to have a diamond made with your ash...I was thinking a blue diamond with a silver setting. I'm thinking these blue diamonds are so kick ass, you would be OK with me turning you into a diamond. Happy Birthday, Sucka!!! It's a few days late (ACTUAL birthday is March 6), but I think about you everyday anyway! Went to Washington and Oregon for a coupla weeks...it was fantastic! Finally made it to the top of the Space Needle! Will share pics when I get them outta my phone. Seen the Oregon coast at Tillamook...it really was a marvelous trip! Spent a day with my sister in Salem. She just rented a cute little apartment there and we had lunch at Olive Garden with Reid and Savanna's new boyfriend, Eric. I like Eric a lot, he seems really nice and down-to-Earth. Reid's doing good...working hard. Anyway, just wanted to say Happy Birthday and I'm thinking about you ALL THE TIME!

Well, Sucka, it's been 2 years now, today. I do miss you more now than ever. I found a great pic of you and Gini at the trail...I will post when I get the scanner running. Came across some great pics! What a f*&%ing laugh riot! It's a beautiful day and I don't have to work, so I'm going to the coastal trail on my cruiser. Miss you tons, you should be riding with. We could stop at our fave little spots and meet interesting characters...ha.

Forrest gave me a huge amount of music on a hard drive. Amazing stuff. Found a lot of stuff that you would have loved. Have I got some music trivia for you, Sucka.

It has been so gorgeous here in Anchorage so far this summer. It's been great. Kim, Jaymee and myself went to one of our fave thrift stores and Jaymee went straight to the vinyl, just like you used to do. She comes up to us w/some finds and I do believe she had found one of your old vinyl collection. I swear it was your initials on that cover. Wow. There is a reason for everything, as the world turns, turns, turns...ha. Love you and miss you like crazy!

Danny,

Hey boy! It's been gorgeous sunshine here in Juneau for over a week now - made me think of that May in '78? '79? Remember? We got, like, 34 days of sunshine in a row and set a record - haha!
We must've been up at the castle every chance we got. Stupidly getting drunk and walking around on 8 inch wide concrete walls with metal spikes sticking up every 2 feet or so and anywhere
from a 5 to 50 foot drop if we fell! How did we not get get injured? Not one of us ever fell off those stupid walls - even when we were drunk. Remember how Lisa was scared to walk, so she'd
always crawl on her hands and knees? How funny is that?

My incredible, beautiful daughter got married last Saturday (April 25th). It was wonderful and stressful - thank God I only have one daughter, huh?! I know you were there, and Tracy, too! I
could just feel so much love in that room. I will finally have time for my life again! I have revolved around her wedding for WEEKS! I am hoping to find all those pics and things I talked
about in my last post. I will, however, do my searching on rainy days - we get so little nice ones, I KNOW I will be spending them outside! I have one Hell of a garden - I think you'd like it.
In fact, I have a beautiful bleeding heart plant, and an abundance of very large and interesting rocks - I also paint now (you didn't know that, did you?) Where does this all lead? Well, a memorial
rock to be painted for you and Tracy and placed near my bleeding heart plant, of course! AND - I should be out there right now getting the poor plants I bought today, out of the pots, and
into the ground!

I am still planning on going to Sitka this summer, and having that goodbye talk with you - so you'd better be there, lol! I will try to find Jess, if he is still there.
